Lviv hosts sixth regional session of European Youth Parliament

KYIV, January 30 /UKRINFORM/. "European Citizenship: For EU or for the Whole Europe?" is the subject of the sixth regional session of the European Youth Parliament, which opened in Lviv on Thursday, January 29. The session is organized in partnership with the Ukrainian youth parliament and the Lviv NGO "Institute of Ukrainian Studios."

Around hundred delegates from Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Azerbaijan will discuss pressing political, economic, social and cultural problems within three days.

The committees formed by the delegates will decide how to resolve important European problems.

Regional Session President Oleh Shymansky told an UKRINFORM correspondent that the resolutions passed by the General Assembly of the European Youth Parliament would be submitted to the European Parliament as youth initiatives. Representatives from various countries will take into account these documents during their activities.
