Ukrainian Pivdennyi port gains international environmental certificate
KYIV, June 9./UKRINFORM/. Pivdennyi Sea Commercial Port (Odesa region, South Ukraine) gained an international certificate of conformity of the enterprise's environmental management system with ISO 14001: 2004 requirements.
According to the port press-service, the document was issued based on the results of an audit conducted by a regional department of Bureau Veritas.
Pivdennyi Sea Commercial Port is Ukraine's most deep-water port (approach canal is 15.5 m deep, berth depth is 14-15.5 m). Berths total extension is some 2.6 km. The port is capable of processing up to 15 million tons of cargo a year.
