Moldovan premier had phone conversation with Romanian president
CHISINAU, 23 November. /MOLDPRES/. Prime Minister Vlad Filat on 21 November had a phone conversation with Romanian President Traian Basescu, the government's press service has said.
The two officials exchanged opinions on the situation in the two countries following a recent working visit to Bucharest by the Moldovan prime minister.
Vlad Filat and Traian Basescu discussed the march of the fulfilment of the agreements reached during the meeting, especially concerning the speeding up of the application of the agreement on small-distance cross-border movement. The prime minister told Romania's president that, at a meeting on 18 November, the Moldovan government approved a decision which completed the internal relevant procedures.
"We will be grateful to you, if the Romanian side finalises the internal procedures as well, which will give possibility of the document's full operational implementation," the prime minister said.
Another subject of discussions was a scheduled opening of Romania's consulates in Cahul and Balti and of Moldova's consulate in Iasi.
The two officials spoke out for the opening of a bridge, Radauti-Lipcani, across the Prut river as soon as possible, so as to speed up the fulfilment of the agreements reached during the visit to Bucharest.
Vlad Filat and Traian Basescu declared for further maintaining a permanent and constructive bilateral dialogue.
