Moldovan premier meets Ukrainian counterpart
CHISINAU, 20 November. /MOLDPRES/. Prime Minister Vlad Filat today met Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Timoshenko within the summit of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Yalta, Ukraine, the government's press service has said.
The two prime ministers exchanged opinions on bilateral relations.
Vlad Filat informed Yuliya Timoshenko about the changes under way in Moldova, noting that the situation in the country is not simple, but there is will and abilities to overcome it.
"People entrusted us with this mandate and we will justify their hopes," the prime minister said.
The two officials tackled the whole spectrum of issues related to bilateral ties, especially the removal of impediments to the transit of Moldovan goods across Ukraine, as well as to the free movement of people.
"All the existing problems are to be settled pragmatically and constructively," the Moldovan prime minister said.
Vlad Filat and Yuliya Timoshenko spoke in favour of resuming the work of the Moldovan-Ukrainian joint inter-governmental commission.
