Divine Liturgy for deceased Patriarch Pavle served

BELGRADE, Nov 19. (Tanjug). The Divine Liturgy for Serbian Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose was held by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Catheral Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Belgrade on Thursday morning.

The Divine Liturgy was served by all the archpriests of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) and the Diaspora.

His Holiness Patriarch Pavle will be buried in Monastery Rakovica at 1 p.m.

The funeral procession will move along the streets of Belgrade and head for the Cathedral of Saint Sava where the funeral service will be held.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Litorral, who at the first session of the SPC Holy Synod was appointed to perform the duty of locum tenens of the patriarchate throne, are expected to take part in the memorial service.
