Bulgaria Presents Priorities of Its Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC

ISTANBUL, November 11. (BTA). Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Marin Raikov presented the priorities of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC). He did this at a meeting of the Committee of Senior Officials of the organization held in Istanbul on Tuesday. Bulgaria's Chairmanship-in-O of the organization will last from November 1 to May 31, 2010.

In his speech, submitted to BTA, Raikov stressed that the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office will be based on the principles of continuity regarding BSEC tasks and goals and involvement of all member-countries to the decision-making process.

One of the key priorities will be enhancing of the BSEC performance so as to strengthen its performance. Besides, the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office will focus on sectoral cooperation in energy, tourism, science and technologies, transport and security.

Priority will also be attached to cooperation between BSEC and the EU, Raikov stressed.
