AMF opens furniture factory in Russia
KYIV, October 28 /UKRINFORM/. Dnipropetrovsk-based company AMF (eastern Ukraine) is winding up efforts to open a furniture assembly factory in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The factory must be commissioned in 2010, the company's press service says.
The production will be arranged on the basis of the former works of molded plastics in Borisovka (Belgorod region), not far from the border with Ukraine's Sumy region.
It is planned that the use of Russian componentry will make it possible to reduce the price of the factory products by 30% compared to Ukrainian imports.
The design capacity of the enterprise is about 30,000 goods a month. Investments in the construction, equipment effort and the purchase of raw material will run in to USD 1.5 million.
AMF is Ukraine's major producer of office furniture, founded in 1999. It unites 7 plants in Ukraine's three cities.
